You know when you are travelling on bigger holidays you always have a few things you miss from back home. Traditions, persons, food etc. We are used to celebrate christmas obvoiusly in a cold climate and with certain food and treats. So here we are on a boat on the border of Mexico! Our plan was to already be in Costa Rica celebrating christmas on some cool beach but as boat life goes… things doesn´t always end up as planned :). One thing that is really important for my Christmas is Gingerbread or Pepper-cake as we call it. But what do you do about that when you are on the opposite side of the planet and far away from your Mum or Dad´s awesome gingerbread receipt. You try to make it yourself! From an american cook book…. :/
We celebrate Christmas on the 24th of December, not like the americans and britt – 25th. And because we where suppose to jump off the boat and travel by bus and meet Windsy back in Costa Rica we had limited time so we actually had to pack and leave on the night of the 24th. See next vlog for that adventure 😉 Vlog 12.
Christmas was still awesome! 😀 We had secret santa, everybody already knew their secret santa and all except frederic new the gifts… Superdupersecret. We ate meatballs! (Swedish tradition, the spaghetti isn´t..) and played games. Fun day! We hope you had a good one!
Checking out from Mexico you need the customs to check your boat before you go so we had a visit the last day from a group of nice military young fellas. Brewster the dog became friend with their female dog. Cute.
