Our adventure continues in Norway and oboy how it rains! Haha, all our clothes are soaked. But luckily our van is quite spacious, so drying is not a huge problem. And we are driving a lot, so we heat it up on max all the way.
About van size; we have been a little unsure. Since it is the biggest van Iveco Daily “long and high”, equivalent to Mercedes sprinter “long and high”. We got a taste of that now when we had to pay over double at the ferries. Ranging between 200 and 350 NOK (aprox 30-45 USD). But since we are two people, and especially now that it is all rainy; totally worth it.
In this episode we go to Bergen, the second largest city in Norway. It is the old capital and home of a famously patriotic folk. It is interesting in Norway how people speak quite wildly different dialects around the country. This due to the dramatic mountains and fjords separating the towns. Now you can drive through incredible engineered tunnels and bridges for a couple hours and the speech has completely changed. Connecting Bergen and Oslo is naturally important. You can therefore find the longest road tunnel in the world connecting the two(Lærdal tunnel, 24,5 km, 15.2 mi). Point is; they speak funny in Bergen. And the roads there are impressing. Some youll see in this wonderfull episode of ours!
We hope you enjoy it!
